“Good evening Dan and Steve, I have copied Sasa so that he can read with you about the good news, based on his actions.   Sasa keeps his head up, he’s conscientious, careful, hard working, but most of all he cares. Tonight while in our plant he walked down a tool isle with racking on both sides. He’s walked this path 100’s of times.  Tonight he noticed something that didn’t look right. He took a picture and came to see me and ask about the photo.   All good stuff.   What I discovered could only be described as a potential catastrophic accident.  The bent column on the tool rack could have collapsed.  We had over 10,000 pounds of tools on the rack.  Our Supervisor and two teammates went to work immediately to remove the tools and to block the racks from further use until repaired.    Sasa, your actions tonight have prevented the potential for serious, or critical injury, even death. Your heads up, “this doesn’t look right”, question has put our entire plant in a much safer place than we would be, had you not spoken up.   Thank you hardly seems enough.  We are truly grateful.”
