JDI Cleaning Limited Partnership (“JDI LP”) is excited to announce that it has made the acquisition of United Janitorial Inc. (“United”) and Drake Clean Up Systems Inc. (“Drakes” and together with United “UJ Group”). Former shareholders, Jordan Fraser and Trevor Bevan will remain on as investors in the UJ Group going forward.UJ Group will continue to be operated on Prince Edward Island with all of its existing employees, led by its management team including Neala Smallman, Joel Hudson and Kaylah Gormley. JDI LP is excited to work closely with the UJ Group management team to continue building both businesses across Atlantic Canada.
United, based in Charlottetown, PEI, is one of Atlantic Canada’s largest privately-operated, full-service cleaning and building maintenance service providers. United was founded in 1984 and has grown substantially, with a client list that currently includes 400 PEI businesses and a team of over 110 committed staff.
Drakes, also based in Charlottetown, is one of Atlantic Canada’s largest privately-operated, providers of duct cleaning and related services to businesses throughout the Maritimes. Drakes has been helping fellow Prince Edward Islanders breathe easier with services for dryer vents, duct work, HVAC and heat pump cleaning since 1989.
JDI LP owns J.D.I. Cleaning Services (“JDI Cleaning”), an established and growing market leader in the Ontario commercial cleaning industry. JDI Cleaning’s President, Anita Elliott, leads the business and has worked in the commercial cleaning industry for the past 30 years. “We are excited to be partnering with United and Drakes,” said Anita Elliott. “We are looking forward to working with our local Prince Edward Island management team and expanding the United and Drakes service offerings and brands across the Atlantic region.
